Versatility

Screw head
As a universal solution, the screw head processes all types of fibre. It is particularly well-suited for extra-fine wools and noble fibres, such as cashmere, silk, alpaca, and premium blends. The Elvo screw head comes with an independent motor and the faller stroke limit is controlled directly by the motor itself. The twin unit featuring a 25-66mm cylinder ensures minimal ratches, offering precise control over even the shortest fibres.
Chain head
The new TC2 head builds on the principle of the previous TC1 version for CSN, with 144 combs, but with a 270mm-wide working field. It can handle higher loadings and maintains fibre control thanks to its 9.25mm chain pitch. With an input speed up to 100m/min, it guarantees high productivity.
Quality control
Our drafting machine is engineered to effortlessly control and manage the end-product quality. Continuous monitoring at every stage guarantees excellence without interruptions.
The result of several years of development and a partnership with the control system specialist Bianco, the Elvo drafting machine can now be equipped with an output probe that detects and, when necessary, corrects any weight deviation. Combined with the autolevel feeler unit, the probe identifies even the slightest inconsistencies and reactivates the autolevel’s self-tuning function to ensure the weight set by the operator is consistently maintained.
The output weight deviations are minimised to reduce count deviations in the spinning phase.
The same probe continuously intercepts irregular deviations and displays them on the machine’s touchscreen, complete with a diagram and the corresponding CV% value.
The output sliver quality is completely monitored, ensuring the entire production is controlled.
The diagram is displayed on the touchscreen located at the machine edge, while average data can be calculated for external interfacing.

Thanks to its multiple configurations, the machine can be used at various stages of the preparation process, before the combing machines, up to the 3rd passage, with 2-sliver deliveries. By analysing the process, the fibres, and the treatments involved, we can identify the most suitable set-up to achieve the desired performance.

Synthetic fibres
Applications
ELVO R is designed for use in tow-to-top lines, after the stretch breaking machine. It is the first machine in the preparation process for acrylic lines (knitwear or carpet yarns). Thanks to its high loading capacity and its numerous couplings, it can function as a blender for simple blends, such as wool and acrylic. The defelting feature makes the R model particularly effective after dyeing or special treatments, helping to restore vigor to the tops.
